University Grants Communication issued the new notification for the UGC National Eligibility Test for Junior
Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Assistant Professor, December 2013. According to the notification, the examination will be held on Sunday, 29th December 2013 at 84 different coordinating universities in the country. the last date for submitting the application, according to the present notification, is 9th November 2013. According to UGC sources, candidates must make it sure that they submit the print out of the online application along with the copy of the bank chalan to the respective coordinating university within 9th November 2013.

UGC introduces new provision to challenge errors in the answer keys
As per the new notification of the UGC NET examination for December 2013, candidates who have any disputes regarding errors in the answer key published by UGC, may challenge it within a period of one month of publishing the result. According to the notification, candidates may write a letter to the head of the UGC NET Bureau, along with a demand draft of Rs. 5000, and books or literature to support his or her claims.

As per sources, the claims will be presented in front of an expert panel which will decide the veracity of the claims. In case the expert committee finds the claims to be true, UGC will reprocess the results based on the revised answer keys. However, the candidates who have passed as per the initial declaration will not be affected by the change, says the new notification.

xxiv)The candidates having any grievances with regard to answer key(s) even after declaration of result of NET December, 2013, he/she may send a written request to the Head, UGC NET Bureau, South Campus University of Delhi, Benito Juarez Marg, New Delhi-110021 supporting his/her stand with standard books/literature. along with a Demand Draft of Rs.5,000/- in favour of Secretary, UGC within one month from the date of declaration of result of NET December, 2013 examination. The request(s) so received will be placed before the Expert Committee(s) for re-examination of the answer key(s). In case the answer key(s) is/are found to be incorrect, the UGC will process the result in the light of changed key(s) and qualify the additional candidates for JRF and/or eligibility for Assistant Professor. Also, the result of previously qualified candidates for JRF and/or eligibility for Assistant Professor shall remain unchanged.
